If there’s anything better than spending a relaxing fall day enjoying Seville, we’d like to hear it.
With beautiful sunshine and pleasantly mild temperatures, terrace season is still in full swing, and exploring the city on foot is much more pleasant than it is in summer. But there’s good news for fans of fall: you’ll still be able to celebrate Halloween, and even take part in some unique local festivities.
Be sure to add these things to do in Seville in October to your agenda if you’ll be headed our way this fall. With a plethora of fascinating events and activities going on, there’s something everyone will enjoy.
Travel the world at the Festival de las Naciones
Here at Devour Tours, we like to consider ourselves unofficial ambassadors for European food and culture. But that doesn’t mean we don’t love exploring the world beyond Europe’s borders!
Throughout fall, you’ll be able to travel the globe without leaving Seville at the Festival de las Naciones on Prado de San Sebastián. Experience food, crafts, music and more at the stalls representing nearly three dozen countries. This is at the top of our list of things to do in Seville in October mostly for all the fantastic international food!

Make the most of Noche en Blanco
Every year, the first Friday in October marks the unofficial start of fall here in Seville. It’s when we celebrate Noche en Blanco, an evening dedicated to showing off the wealth of cultural experiences Seville has to offer—more than 130 of them, to be exact!
This year’s event is the eighth edition of the festival and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Iconic monuments such as the Cathedral and the Alcazar will be open free of charge, as will the city’s fascinating museums. Seville truly comes alive at night, and this particular evening is one of the most treasured of the entire year.

Visit Plaza de España and Parque Maria Luisa
One of our favorite things to do in Seville in October is to simply enjoy the fresh fall air.
Parque María Luisa makes for an especially lovely destination on a beautiful autumn day—and of course, you won’t want to miss Plaza de España. The grandiose pavilion was built for the 1929 Ibero-American exposition and has since become a must-see for visitors from all over the world. The area takes on an especially magical air in fall.
As nighttime blankets the city and crowds clear out of tourist attractions earlier than usual, you can enjoy a peaceful stroll through the park to the plaza on a crisp autumn evening. And if you’re traveling with your special someone, this makes for an especially romantic start to the night!
Get some ice cream while you still can!
October days in Seville still feature plenty of Andalusia’s famous sunshine and warmth. And honestly, we’ll take any excuse to indulge in some ice cream.
Get your fix at one of the city’s dozens of heladerías before winter sets in. Our top pick: La Fiorentina, where you can taste the story of Andalusia through emblematic flavors such as orange blossom and torrijas.
Another great option comes in the form of creamy Italian-style gelato at Freskura, home to a delicious variety of natural fruit flavors and more sweet surprises.
