Where to Find the Best Ice Cream in Seville

Seville is often called the frying pan of Spain. Luckily, the heat has given us some of the best cold dishes in Spain and, most importantly, the best ice cream!

With the soaring temperatures above 40 degrees celsius here in Seville, we need places to cool off in hot weather. The city offers a variety of ways to do that! Aside from indulging in some summer appropriate traditional tapas such as salmorejo, we love nothing more than wandering the streets or sitting in one of the city’s beautiful parks with ice-cream in hand. Here are our picks for the places to find the best ice cream in Seville!

Probably Seville’s most famous ice cream shop, Rayas has loyal fans throughout the city (and probably the rest of the world!). Its flavors are natural and fresh and the creamy consistency is just perfect. There are always plenty of flavors to choose from (the most difficult part!) but everything is excellent. Don’t worry about making the wrong choice!

La Fiorentina

Established in 1995, La Fiorentina is another of the city’s most famous spots for delicious homemade ice cream. Many even consider it the best ice cream in Seville. They’re famous for their inventive flavors that change by the season, with an all-time favorite among locals being the Palmera de Chocolate (based on the local puff pastry covered in chocolate). We’ve also spotted rosemary ice cream and manzanilla sherry with spearmint – yum!

In summer 2007 a group of Italian friends decided to share their ice cream know-how with Sevillanos and boy are we lucky they did! Freskura offers some of the best authentic Italian ice cream in the city, with plenty of creative and classic flavors to choose from.

Despite being a chain, Amorino is one of the best places to get ice cream in Seville!

Amorino Seville

Amorino may be a chain, but it’s a good one! Their ice creams are a little more pricey than the others on the list, but their flavors are delicious! For someone who likes to try a bit of everything, their signature gelato flower lets you mix flavors in a beautifully presented ice cream cone, and we also love snacking on their delicious macaroons.

Add Bolas Helados Artes-Sanos to the list! Just went there today and they have delicious local and fresh flavors. Be sure to try the Sevilla Mora (walnuts, raisins, glaced orange peel, spaghetti squash and cinnamon) and the Queso con Higos al Pedro Ximenez (creamy cheese and fig)
