Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets at Correr Museum in Piazza San Marco 52. Your guide will be waiting under the portico just outside the entrance of the museum.

This is a fantastic tour. There are so few people you can see everything and take beautiful pictures. Its quiet and exclusive, the absolute best way to see many things in St. Marks. I highly recommend this tour, we are going back to the Doge's Palace with our museum pass to see the things that were not included in the tour, though we know we saw the absolute highlights.

I love the alternative tours that Walks offers, being in the Doge Palace without the crowds was fantastic, and experiencing St Mark's Basilica in the evening alone with the group and guide, watching the lights come on in the dark and having the freedom to walk all around was a life time experience. We could not have asked for more!

This was our third (Vatican key & London Tower) Walks Tour and it lived up to the expectations. We received a small group and personal experience with this tour. A walk through San Marco Square an hour before the tour will impress upon you how privileged you are going on this tour.

Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?

Can I take a bag with me into St. Mark's Basilica?
You can only take small bags into St. Mark's. Anything bigger than a purse - backpacks or luggage - is prohibited. There is no coat check either, so do not bring any large bags with you.
Does St. Mark's Basilica have a dress code?
Yes. Because it is a holy place, St. Mark's Basilica insists that both men and women wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. They can and will refuse entry to anyone who does not meet this standard and we can't do anything about it, so come prepared.
Are there any breaks on this tour?
During this tour there is a short break (never more than one hour) in between visiting the Doge's Palace and entering St. Mark's Basilica.
