The guide was awesome and knew a lot about the history. He even showed us the house he grew up in as a native of the city. Was great learning how most of Venice was "Found after it dropped off a boat." Highly recommend this tour to get an idea of Venice as a whole.

This tour takes you to all the key sites plus you learn a lot about how the city goes about day to day activities. We had the best guide I have ever had Elena C. She kept the group moving and found shade for us and she was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Venice. If you want to see the key sites this tour is a must.

It’s a lot of walking but that’s because you get to see a lot. The tour guide (Elena) had a wealth of knowledge and was wonderful. The tour was very informative and well worth it. I’m glad we did it.

Does St. Mark's Basilica have a dress code?
Yes. Because it is a holy place, St. Mark's Basilica insists that both men and women wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. They can and will refuse entry to anyone who does not meet this standard and we can't do anything about it, so come prepared.
Can I take a bag with me into St. Mark's Basilica?
You can only take small bags into St. Mark's. Anything bigger than a purse - backpacks or luggage - is prohibited. There is no coat check either, so do not bring any large bags with you.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, this tour route is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, an alternate route can be arranged to accommodate guests in wheelchairs. Please contact our Guest Experience Team to discuss arranging a private tour that meets your accessibility needs.
