Excellent

It is a bit of a drive but so worth the time. Our guide was over the top knowledgeable in the field of archeology and life in Pompeii. We learned so much!! The van used for our group was very nice/comfortable. You are given a little extra time to shop when it is available. Seriously you cannot go wrong!!

Excellent

We had a great experience on the Amalfi Coast & Pompeii day trip from Rome. The meeting-point instructions were clear, and we traveled in a comfortable, air-conditioned van with our driver, Sandro, who made the journey seamless. Our guide, Cosimo, was excellent, providing interesting commentary throughout the trip and keeping everything organized. The Pompeii guide, Francesca, was also friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth the long day, and we would highly recommend it.

Excellent

A wonderful and well paced day trip out of Rome. It is worth the time on the bus and early start. Cosmo was a lovely guide who shared so many interesting facts with us. Paulo's tour of Pompei was fantastic, he was conscious of the heat and planned ahead to ensure we saw major sites with the least crowds. Nice to have free time in Positano. Lastly, the driver did a great job navigating along the Amalfi coast. We felt very safe. Thank you!

Which Amalfi Coast town will we visit?

Most of the year, you'll visit Positano, a colorful seaside town nestled in the cliffs. In the low season (November through March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping.

Will I have free time to explore?

Yes! After your guided tour of Pompeii, you'll enjoy two hours of free time in Positano or Sorrento to shop, eat, or just relax by the sea.

Is lunch included?

Lunch isn’t included, so you have the freedom to choose your own spot. Whether it's fresh seafood, pizza, or a quick bite, we’ve got tips on the best places to go.

How long is the tour?

Approximately 13 hours, departing from Rome and returning in the evening. It’s timed to give you maximum daylight and minimal crowds.

Do I need to bring my ID?

Yes. The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and match the names on their ID/passport. Name changes are not permitted. All guests (including children) must bring a government-issued ID/passport on the day of their tour. Failure to bring an ID may result in security staff denying entrance to the monument.
