My daughter (14yrs) and I really enjoyed this tour--it was such a great combination of art and sightseeing. Our tour guide was excellent. I loved getting into see the David early, learning about the sculptor, the artwork and history and then moving through the streets of Florence with our guide to the Duomo. The pace was perfect.

Excellent tour. Great guide, very knowledgeable. Skipping the lines is well worth it, walking by the lines a few times. We did the morning tour, highly recommend as things start to get busy later in the morning. Surprise was the Duomo tickets are good for 72 hours. We went back on day 2 for everything else, and then I gave them to guests checking into our hotel to enjoy for the remaining 24 hours. I’m looking forward to our next tour(s) in Rome next week.

I would suggest to have ear pieces that work better. The ones provided were poor quality making it difficult to hear the leader. Instead of one ear piece, have two, so that ambient noise is reduced.

Know Before You Book

Are children able to take this tour?

Due to security reasons, children under 7 years of age aren't allowed to climb to the Terraces and are therefore unable to participate in this tour. Minors between the ages of 7-17 must be accompanied by an adult to climb the Terraces.

Is this tour accessible for wheelchair users or guests with mobility issues?

Due to conditions inside the Duomo (463 steps and fairly narrow passageways), wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, and anyone with claustrophobia unfortunately cannot be accommodated on this tour.

Does the afternoon tour follow the same route as the morning tour?

Only the morning tour will briefly enter the Florence cathedral. The afternoon tour will enjoy a view of the cathedral's interior from above during the Duomo climb. The visit to the Accademia Gallery remains unchanged.

What is the dress code for this tour?

Due to the religious nature of the Cathedral, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. You can bring extra coverings (scarves, etc) to put on just before entering the Cathedral.
