Eri was an amazing tour guide. Helpful, knowledgeable, under control. Managed the tour group so she could answer every question and we never seemed rushed. Helped us get a couple of cover ups needed for the churches with no stress. Amazing education. Well worth it.

My husband and I really enjoyed the David & Duomo tour. The view from the Duomo was worth the climb and the art at the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze was unmatched. We felt like we weren’t rushed and could really enjoy our time. Our guide was also very knowledgeable and easy to follow. It was the highlight of our trip to Florence. Highly recommend!

Fue excelente el guía , pero nos dieron un tour diferente , pagamos VIP entrada terraza y no se pudo entrar , ya que era otro tour . No es bueno que cambien los tours y primero verificar con el jefe o coordinador el tour que se pague .

Agnese was so enthusiastic and informative! We enjoyed our tour and her insights into the history and art. I would highly recommend (especially after seeing the lines upon our exit that we avoided). Go to the top! It was a tough climb, but worth the memories and photo ops!

Know Before You Book

Are children able to take this tour?

Due to security reasons, children under 7 years of age aren't allowed to climb to the Terraces and are therefore unable to participate in this tour. Minors between the ages of 7-17 must be accompanied by an adult to climb the Terraces.

Is this tour accessible for wheelchair users or guests with mobility issues?

Due to conditions inside the Duomo (463 steps and fairly narrow passageways), wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, and anyone with claustrophobia unfortunately cannot be accommodated on this tour.

Does the afternoon tour follow the same route as the morning tour?

Only the morning tour will briefly enter the Florence cathedral. The afternoon tour will enjoy a view of the cathedral's interior from above during the Duomo climb. The visit to the Accademia Gallery remains unchanged.

What is the dress code for this tour?

Due to the religious nature of the Cathedral, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. You can bring extra coverings (scarves, etc) to put on just before entering the Cathedral. It is also prohibited to enter the Cathedral and climb to the Terraces and Cupola wearing flip-flops, slippers, clogs and shoes with heels.

What can I bring inside the Florence Cathedral?

Visitors to the Cathedral must use mandatory luggage storage (Piazza Duomo n. 38/r) to leave the following items before entry: suitcases, backpacks, and large or medium-sized bags.
