What is the dress code for this tour?

Due to the religious nature of the Cathedral, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. You can bring extra coverings (scarves, etc) to put on just before entering the Cathedral. It is also prohibited to enter the Cathedral and climb to the Terraces and Cupola wearing flip-flops, slippers, clogs and shoes with heels.
Can I bring a bag inside the Florence Cathedral?

No bags of any size, large or small, are allowed on this tour. Free lockers are available before entering the Duomo, your guide will accompany you to them.
For large items such as suitcases, backpacks, and large or medium-sized bags visitors to the Cathedral must use mandatory luggage storage (Piazza Duomo n. 38/r)
What happens when there is a mass or special ceremony at the Duomo?

On Sundays we won't enter the Cathedral of Florence due to Sunday Mass; however, your guide will give an explanation of the Duomo from the outside. Additionally, entry will not be possible on exceptional days when the Cathedral is closed for liturgical ceremonies or special Duomo holidays; in those cases your guide will provide the exterior explanation.
How long does this Florence walking tour take?

This guided walk takes 3 hours in total - starting at the Accademia Gallery and finishing at the Ponte Vecchio, with the Duomo and a city walk in between. Please note that the order of stops and itinerary may vary.
