Our evening tour of the Duomo in Florence was truly unforgettable! Our guide was fantastic—so engaging and fun to listen to, with unique stories that kept us captivated the entire time. We highly recommend splurging on the evening Duomo tour with terrace access; it’s absolutely worth the higher price. Being the last group in the Duomo for the night, we had the rare opportunity to witness the guards turning off the lights and locking the doors. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The in-depth history shared by our guide added so much richness to the tour. Exploring the Duomo on our own wouldn’t have come close to this experience. If you’re visiting Florence, this tour is a must—especially if you want to see the Duomo in a truly unique way!

This was a fantastic tour! My 10 year old daughter and I enjoyed it so much. Since we were actively climbing the stairs and walking the terrace, it helped keep the tour from being too overwhelming with information for my daughter. I loved it was after hours. It was special and our tour guide, Agnes, was delightful and knowledgeable. My only suggestion is for the meeting location to also note that it is in front of the monument by the Duomo. While we figured it out, it would have saved time wondering if we were in the right place. GPS is helpful but having mention of the exact meeting place more clear.

Seeing Florence from the Duomo’s terraces and learning about its construction was amazing. It is especially lovely to be the only group out on the terrace. The hike up to the top of the dome has a few breaks at different levels, so you are able to catch your breath. In the summer, it is quite warm and humid. Nevertheless, still very enjoyable.

Know Before You Book

Is this tour accessible for wheelchair users or guests with mobility issues?

Due to conditions inside the Duomo (463 steps and fairly narrow passageways), wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, and anyone with claustrophobia unfortunately cannot be accommodated on this tour.

Are children able to take this tour?

Due to security reasons, children under 7 years of age aren't allowed to climb to the Terraces and are therefore unable to participate in this tour. Minors between the ages of 7-17 must be accompanied by an adult to climb the Terraces.
