Best Views in Sevilla

La Giralda

A classic is the bell tower of Seville’s Cathedral, a tourist attraction in its own right called La Giralda. The ticket to the Cathedral includes both the main part of the Cathedral, and La Giralda tower. When the city is at its busiest, queues for the Cathedral can be long, but it’s worth the effort. There are no stairs – the climb is made by 34 ramps moving up the tower, and once you’ve made it to the top, you are rewarded with amazing views out across the city.

Hours: Monday, 11:00-15:30; Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00-17:00; Sunday, 14:30-18:00.

Doña Maria Hotel

Located near the Cathedral, the terrace bar at Doña Maria Hotel is where you come to get amazing views of the Cathedral and La Giralda tower. While there are several of these bars around, we personally love this one, as not only are the Cathedral and La Giralda views top notch, this is Seville’s oldest roof terrace bar. It’s a great place to wind down at the end of a long day sightseeing, with a cold drink in hand.

Las Setas

Our personal favorite is Las Setas, Seville’s large, modern monument that sprawls across Plaza de la Encarnación. Even better, there is no climbing required! For a small cost you get a lift to the top where there is a walkway around the building, and then you follow this walkway around to get amazing views out across the city.

There are coin operated binoculars, and boards pointing out the names of the different monuments and buildings that you can see. We especially love going up here at night, when many of Seville’s important buildings are floodlit.

Address: Plaza de la Encarnación
 3 euros

Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 – 23:00; Friday & Saturday, 10:00 – 23:30

Torre de los Perdigones

The Torre de los Perdigones, located in the Macarena district, is actually Seville’s camera obscura. As well as experiencing the camera obscura and the guided tour that comes along with it, the experience allows for a short period of time to look out over Seville from the balcony.

This means that as well as having a chance to take a birds eye view of the city thanks to the camera obscura, you can experience the views naturally too. It’s a different way to spend an afternoon, with different kinds of views too!

Address: Calle Resolana, 41
4 euros

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday; 11:30 – 17:00

This is the roof top at Roof, the terrace bar and restaurant at Casa Romana Hotel, which has one of the best views in Seville.
Roof, the terrace bar and restaurant at Casa Romana Hotel

Not only is this one of our favorite roof top bars, it’s also one of the best places to get an awesome view of Seville, and in particular, Las Setas. This bar and restaurant is located on top of Casa Romana Hotel, and it is popular with tourists and locals alike, so if you want the absolute best views – which are on the top level of the split level terrace bar and restaurant – it’s best to making a booking in advance.
