The Best Roof Top Bars in Seville

This blog post was originally posted on July 8, 2015, and was updated on February 23, 2017.

There’s nothing quite like finishing the day by enjoying a drink with a view.

Seville’s city skyline features the oversized and beautiful Cathedral, the modern structure known as Las Setas, Calatrava designed bridges and an array of buildings and churches in all shapes and sizes, so with a skyline like this it’s no wonder that rooftop bars pop up all around the city (usually on the top of hotels).

Not only is the view wonderful, but these bars also make the perfect place to catch the breeze at the end of a hot summer’s day. So here are our favorites, our top picks for the best roof top bars in Seville!

Seville is a city with an amazing skyline, and the best way to enjoy a mild evening in Seville is at one of the many terrace bars, so to help you, here's our guide to the best roof top bars in Seville!

Doรฑa Maria

It would be rude not to kick off the list with what is not only the first rooftop bar in Seville but an old favorite of ours that we keep going back to time and time again. The bar on top of Hotel Doรฑa Maria offers front row views of the Cathedral, with friendly service and – all things considered – reasonably priced drinks.

It’s especially beautiful once the sun starts to go down, the Cathedral lights up and the cool evening breeze waves on in. On Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings during summer there is a flamenco concert at 10.30pm which just adds to the already wonderful atmosphere!

Casa Romana Hotel, one of the best roof top bars in Seville
“Roof” – the terrace on top of the Casa Romana Hotel

This multi-story terrace bar on top of the Casa Romano Hotel is our current favorite to go to for unparalleled views of the city. Sure, you don’t get views of the Cathedral, but if you make it to the second level what you do get – aside from a romantic setting, refreshing drinks and great food – is a 360 degree view of the city and a perfect view of Las Setas, which we quite like when it’s all lit up at night.

On the lower level, there is a bar area with lounges, tables, and a relaxed atmosphere with a DJ playing tunes. Booking is recommended, especially on weekends, as this place is popular with locals and tourists alike!

Hotel Fontecruz

Tucked away in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, the roof terrace at Hotel Fontecruz has a great rooftop bar with an amazing view of the Cathedral and La Giralda. It’s the ideal place to pass time in the evening, relaxing on the sofas, enjoying a drink or two – and at a reasonable price!

This place really is the perfect storm and is one of our favorite roof top bars in Seville – one that we will continue to return to during the summer months for years to come!

The Gourmet Experience is one of the best roof top bars in Seville

Gourmet Experience at El Corte Ingles

This place is a little bit different from the other pickings. Instead of being on top of a hotel, it’s on top of a department store! There really is something for everyone at Gourmet Experience.

Aside from the bar which opens out onto a large terrace with plenty of tables, there are also several different food stands inside ranging from tapas and Basque style pinchos to hamburgers and Mexican. Roam around, take your pick, grab a drink and enjoy the vistas!

Hi, Kader. Are you referring to the featured image on the blog? This was taken at another roof terrace called El Patio de la Alameda which has lovely views over the Alameda Boulevard.
