We loved this tour. The secret passages are a must-see, but what made our tour was our amazing guide, Ariana. She seemed happy to be with us (called us her “beautiful tour”) and shared her incredible knowledge with us in the same lovely way. She calmly guided us through busy times and never stopped smiling. There were families with children on the tour, and she engaged with them perfectly so they felt included but not overwhelmed. Prior to the tour, we were kept well informed with an easy meeting spot with pictures for guidance. Highly recommend and thank you so much Ariana!

Can I bring children on the Secret Itineraries Tour?

Children under the age of 6 are not allowed to visit the Secret Itineraries of the Doges palace, so unfortunately they cannot take this tour.

Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?

Is proof of identity (ID) required for this tour?

Yes! Please ensure that all members of your party, including children, have a valid ID on them on the day of the visit.

What do I need to book this tour?

You must provide the following details for every guest in your party at the time of booking: first and last name. All guests must bring ID on the day of their tour as it is required to visit the St. Mark's Basilica. Failure to bring an ID can result in the security staff refusing your entrance to the monument. Name changes are not permitted.

Does St. Mark's Basilica have a dress code?

Yes. Because it is a holy place, St. Mark's Basilica insists that both men and women wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. They can and will refuse entry to anyone who does not meet this standard and we can't do anything about it, so come prepared.
