Michele D was an excellent guide. His knowledge of history was amazing and he interjected amusing stories into the history. The tour was a long day so be prepared. But it was a great way to see Venice if you don’t have a lot of time.

I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Venice in a short amount of time. Our guide Alessandro was amazing! A Venetian native, he was so knowledgeable and passionate about every part of the tour. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Our tour with Alex was unreal! He was so engaging and full of amazing knowledge that it made the tour so much more enjoyable. He was friendly, kind, and excited by the history he was talking about. The energy he brought made us more excited and interested in every single thing we saw, and he even brought a binder of images to show how things were originally or in the past. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour with Alex specifically, I don’t know if any other guide would have been able to bring the level of interest that he was.

Does St. Mark's Basilica have a dress code?
Yes. Because it is a holy place, St. Mark's Basilica insists that both men and women wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. They can and will refuse entry to anyone who does not meet this standard and we can't do anything about it, so come prepared.
Is lunch included on this tour?
No. But your guide is always happy to offer you plenty of recommendations for great places to eat in the vicinity that will suit any price point.
Is there much walking on this tour?
Yes, this tour does involve walking. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty and comfortable walking shoes are a must!
Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers. Please contact the Guest Experience team at [email protected] to make alternative arrangements.
Can I take a bag with me into St. Mark's Basilica?
You can only take small bags into St. Mark's. Anything bigger than a purse - backpacks or luggage - is prohibited. There is no coat check either, so do not bring any large bags with you.
What's the cancellation policy for this tour?
This experience is refundable up to 3 days before your tour. Important: You must provide the following details for every guests in your party at the time of booking: first name and last name. All guests must bring ID on the day of their tour as it is required to visit the St. Mark's Basilica.
