This was my first trip to Madrid and Mariano was an excellent guide. He selected interesting art pieces in the Prado museum which paired nicely with Spanish history. Our lunch at Botin afterwards was delicious also paired well with the history of Madrid.

Had an incredible tour with Mariano. The Prado museum is a remarkable place, and Mariano’s knowledge of the history and background information of the paintings there made the whole experience that much more interesting and engaging. It was fascinating to see the progression of the artistic styles through time and see the decline of the Spanish empire during the 1700s reflected in the artwork. And then of course, the meal afterwards at Botin. Phenomenal. I felt like I had stepped into Hemingway’s world, eating roast suckling pig and drinking rioja Alta as he had 100 years prior. I won’t soon forgot my experience in Madrid and I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough
