Lisbon Food & Fado Tour Itinerary

There’s no more fitting place to begin our food and fado tour than in Mouraria. In addition to being one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon, it was also home to the first known fado singer, Maria Severa. Make your way past her onetime house and into the winding streets of this historic corner of the city.

Time for a snack! We’ll pop into a beautiful old jewelry atelier-turned-restaurant for a round of petiscos (Portugal’s answer to tapas) and a refreshing beer.

The Fado tour was brilliant. It started with some cultural and historical aspects walking around neighbourhoods. Then we had dinner at a Fado House and heard some music.

Is this tour accessible for wheelchairs or guests with mobility impairments?

This tour requires some uphill and downhill walking, including a couple of fairly steep streets. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty and we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. As such, unfortunately, this tour route is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
