We had a great time on our food tour in Barcelona (drinks and tapas tour in the Gothic neighbourhood). Alexandra was the perfect tour guide - knowledgeable, entertaining and fun! She also made sure to accommodate food allergies with members of our group which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend this tour when visiting Barcelona!

Andrea provided interesting information that included history, culture, context, gastronomy and more! She accommodated food limitations quite well, and we came away with a great list of restaurants and bars to return to. A large amount of food that was more than plenty for our dinner and a wonderful variety of drinks - white wine, red wine, Cava and vermouth. Excellent service and quality! We highly recommend this tour for a fun, educational and delicious evening in Barcelona!

This is the best food tour I’ve ever been on and I’ve been in several around the world. Our guide was Jessica. She was so cheerful and knowledgeable and knew absolutely everything about the gothic quarter having grown up there. I really loved how the locations were set up. They were so well organized. And the food was so tasty! We went back to one of the places the next day for the meatballs and vermouth.

Know Before You Go

Is this tour accessible for people with mobility issues?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers.
Is this the best tapas tour in Barcelona?
We think so—and so do the 3,000+ guests who’ve rated it five stars. This is Devour’s signature Barcelona experience, running since 2014. It’s not just about great food (though there’s plenty of that)—it’s about understanding the stories behind every bite and every bar.
How much food and drink is included?
A full dinner’s worth! You’ll enjoy 9+ tapas and 4 drinks across 4 of the best family-run tapas bars in Madrid. Come hungry—this is a proper Spanish night out.
What kind of tapas will I try?
The lineup varies with the seasons and availability, but expect a mix of Catalan and Spanish staples—things like *butifarra* sausage, crema catalana, fried fish, croquettes, and more. Every dish is carefully chosen to reflect local traditions and flavors.
How much walking is involved?
About 2.5 hours at a relaxed pace with plenty of stops for food, games, and breaks (with seating). The route is mostly flat and stroller-friendly, and your guide will always adjust the pace based on your family's needs.
What if I don’t drink alcohol?
No problem! We offer non-alcoholic options at every stop. Just let us know when booking or tell your guide at the start of the tour.
Is this a good tour for history lovers?
Yes! This isn’t just a food tour—it’s also a walking tour through one of Barcelona’s oldest neighborhoods. Your guide will share the stories that connect what you’re eating to the city’s layered past.
Is this a good tour for solo travelers?
Absolutely. Many guests come solo and end up leaving with new friends. The vibe is relaxed, social, and perfect for anyone who wants to explore, connect, and share a great meal.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
We do our best! Many stops offer vegetarian options, but please note that vegan, gluten-free, or severe allergy accommodations may be limited. Let us know your needs in advance and we’ll do our best to help.
What if it rains?
We run rain or shine, so bring an umbrella if the forecast looks wet. Most of the tour is indoors or under cover, and the food will keep you warm either way.
