We could not have asked for a better introduction to Barcelona! We did the tapas tour on our first day in the city, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide was so much fun, incredibly sweet, and genuinely such a pleasure to spend time with. His knowledge of Barcelona is amazing, and you can immediately tell how proud he is to be from here. He shared so many interesting facts and stories about the city throughout the tour, but in a way that was actually fun and engaging rather than feeling like a history lesson. And of course, the food was incredible! He took us to some amazing local spots and introduced us to some of the best food we had in Barcelona. Everything felt really authentic and thoughtfully chosen. We laughed, learned so much, ate SO well, and genuinely had the best time. It felt like exploring Barcelona with a really knowledgeable local friend. I would absolutely recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip because it gives you such a great introduction to the city, the food, and the culture. We loved every minute of it!

Know Before You Go

Is this tour accessible for people with mobility issues?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers.
Is this the best tapas tour in Barcelona?
We think so—and so do the 3,000+ guests who’ve rated it five stars. This is Devour’s signature Barcelona experience, running since 2014. It’s not just about great food (though there’s plenty of that)—it’s about understanding the stories behind every bite and every bar.
How much food and drink is included?
Plenty! You’ll enjoy 10+ traditional tapas and 5 drinks (including vermouth, cava, and regional wines) across three family-run stops. It’s a full dinner, Barcelona-style. Come hungry.
What kind of tapas will I try?
The lineup varies with the seasons and availability, but expect a mix of Catalan and Spanish staples—things like *butifarra* sausage, crema catalana, fried fish, croquettes, and more. Every dish is carefully chosen to reflect local traditions and flavors.
How much walking is involved?
The route covers approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) through the Gothic Quarter at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to rest and eat between stops.
What if I don’t drink alcohol?
No problem! We offer non-alcoholic options at every stop. Just let us know when booking or tell your guide at the start of the tour.
Is this a good tour for history lovers?
Yes! This isn’t just a food tour—it’s also a walking tour through one of Barcelona’s oldest neighborhoods. Your guide will share the stories that connect what you’re eating to the city’s layered past.
Is this a good tour for solo travelers?
Absolutely. Many guests come solo and end up leaving with new friends. The vibe is relaxed, social, and perfect for anyone who wants to explore, connect, and share a great meal.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
We do our best! Many stops offer vegetarian options, but please note that vegan, gluten-free, or severe allergy accommodations may be limited. Let us know your needs in advance and we’ll do our best to help.
What if it rains?
We run rain or shine, so bring an umbrella if the forecast looks wet. Most of the tour is indoors or under cover, and the food will keep you warm either way.
