The Barcelona Food & Market Tour with Paella was excellent. Our guide was amazing and we enjoyed all the food stops and learning about the Spanish culture. It was an interesting tour to learn about the food and also about Spain.

We did this food tour as a family of four. It was my husband and I and our two kids ages 15 and 18. Our tour guide’s name was Erik. We were lucky to have a private food tour because we were the only group for that particular time which was AMAZING! Erik took us to 6 different resteraunts highlighting popular Catalan and Spanish cuisines which were all absolutely delicious! The portion sizes of the dishes were quite big so we were absolutely stuffed by the end of the tour. He combined just the right amount of history associated with the food which was perfect for our children who don’t always have the attention span for long drawn out explanations. The tour started on time. He was courteous, friendly with a great sense of humor. He also made a recommendation for dinner called Bar Del Pla. I decided to try it out and it was probably the best meal I had in Barcelona. Overall. We couldn’t have asked for a better food tour and guide. My only regret is that we should have taken the food tour at the beginning of our stay in Barcelona instead of our last day. We will definitely use this company again in the future.

Know Before You Book

What neighborhoods does the tour visit?
This tour explores El Born and Barceloneta—two of Barcelona’s most historic and atmospheric areas. Expect cobblestone streets, local markets, and seaside charm.
Is this tour suitable for kids?
Yes! Families are welcome, and the tour includes tastes and stories kids often love. Please let us know in advance about any dietary needs or preferences.
What makes this different from other food tours in Barcelona?
We don’t just feed you—we connect you. With over a decade of experience and deep local ties, we take you into real neighborhood bars, market stalls, and family-run spots tourists rarely find. It’s culture through food, done right.
Is it enough food for a meal?
More than enough—it covers both breakfast and lunch for the morning tour and dinner for the evening tour, with 12+ tastings. Come hungry!
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We do our best to accommodate most needs with advance notice. Let us know when booking so we can plan ahead.
How much walking is involved?
The route covers approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) through the Gothic Quarter at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to rest and eat between stops.
Is alcohol included?
Yes! You’ll enjoy vermouth and wine along the way. Non-alcoholic alternatives are always available—just ask your guide.
Do you visit La Boqueria Market?
Nope. We take you to the Barceloneta Market, where real locals shop—and where we’ve built relationships with the vendors over years.
Will I be in a large group?
Nope—our tours are capped at 12 people so you’ll have access to smaller spots and a deeper connection with your guide.
