Excellent
Feliciano did an absolute amazing job! Although we had down our own research and consider ourselves big history nerds, he taught us things we didn’t even know! It was incredible and the food was very authentic as well as delicious.

For our last meal in Barcelona we scheduled a special treat—Devour’s Tapas, Taverns & History foodie tour—and it did not disappoint! Our guide, Alex, was superb. She led us through the Gothic Quarter—three food stops with history and culture intermingled. Each stop contained multiple delicacies and drinks. Who knew vermouth could be that good? And fried anchovies? Have you drunk from a porron? You will on this trip! Every stop was a culinary adventure. This tour must be on your Bacelona bucket list—you won’t regret it!!

Excellent food tour!! This was a great experience. We were able to visit some tapas places and try some tapas that we would not have been able to find on our own. Our guide was engaging and shared so much history about the city.

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip! Jessica was an absolutely delightful tour guide, offering lots of information about the city, the food, and some of her personal history as well. The food and ambiance at all the stops was great and having a small group of only 11 made it a very social and lively experience. Made some friends and then headed off to a bar at Jessica's recommendation! Highly recommend :)

Excellent
This was a lovely way to sample both old Barcelona and tapas and tavernas. Alexandra (Alex) was a fantastic guide - friendly, knowledgeable, quick to laugh - and we hope the stars align such that she guides us somewhere great again on our next Barcelona visit. The pace of the tour was perfect, with eating, drinking, walking and learning intermingled with just the right balance. If you’re looking for a three hour investment in Barcelona that pays a big and varied dividend, take this tour!

Know Before You Go

Is this tour accessible for people with mobility issues?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers.
Is this the best tapas tour in Barcelona?
We think so—and so do the 3,000+ guests who’ve rated it five stars. This is Devour’s signature Barcelona experience, running since 2014. It’s not just about great food (though there’s plenty of that)—it’s about understanding the stories behind every bite and every bar.
How much food and drink is included?
Plenty! You’ll enjoy 10+ traditional tapas and 5 drinks (including vermouth, cava, and regional wines) across three family-run stops. It’s a full dinner, Barcelona-style. Come hungry.
What kind of tapas will I try?
The lineup varies with the seasons and availability, but expect a mix of Catalan and Spanish staples—things like *butifarra* sausage, crema catalana, fried fish, croquettes, and more. Every dish is carefully chosen to reflect local traditions and flavors.
How much walking is involved?
The route covers approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) through the Gothic Quarter at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to rest and eat between stops.
What if I don’t drink alcohol?
No problem! We offer non-alcoholic options at every stop. Just let us know when booking or tell your guide at the start of the tour.
Is this a good tour for history lovers?
Yes! This isn’t just a food tour—it’s also a walking tour through one of Barcelona’s oldest neighborhoods. Your guide will share the stories that connect what you’re eating to the city’s layered past.
Is this a good tour for solo travelers?
Absolutely. Many guests come solo and end up leaving with new friends. The vibe is relaxed, social, and perfect for anyone who wants to explore, connect, and share a great meal.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
We do our best! Many stops offer vegetarian options, but please note that vegan, gluten-free, or severe allergy accommodations may be limited. Let us know your needs in advance and we’ll do our best to help.
What if it rains?
We run rain or shine, so bring an umbrella if the forecast looks wet. Most of the tour is indoors or under cover, and the food will keep you warm either way.
