1.Le XIX
This is one of the cocktail bars in Seville that is known not only for the drinks but also because it’s found in one of the few modern buildings in the city. This gastro-pub is near the Cathedral and there’s a great atmosphere for enjoying cocktails. They have a substantial cocktail list, many of which are of their own invention. Le XIX is also open for breakfast and for an afternoon snack, for which their cakes come highly recommended.
Address: Calle Tomás de Ibarra, 9
2. Club San Francisco
As its name implies, Club San Francisco has beautiful views of the Plaza San Francisco from its balcony. The decor is chic black and white and it’s every bit as sophisticated as a New York cocktail lounge. In fact, they specialize in cocktails – a rarity in Seville – and the bartenders are often willing to make drink suggestions. If you are looking for a place to have cocktails in Seville, this place has great views, good drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere. It’s definitely a winner!
Address: Plaza San Francisco, 8
3. The Second Room
Located just between the Cathedral and the City Hall, The Second Room is a great place to have cocktails after lunch or in the evening. This is a bar after our own heart, as we love the Spanish tradition of “sobremesa” or enjoying a drink and company after eating. The Second Room serves tapas and creative takes on traditional dishes, as well as daiquiris, martinis, and Long Island Ice Teas. The decor is eclectic and the prices are very reasonable – all in all, a great place for drinks with friends while you are in Seville!
Address: Calle Placentines, 19
4. EME Terraza
Sitting in the shadows of the Giralda, this bar on top of the trendy Hotel Eme offers up some basic cocktails. The views are some of the best in the city, though you will pay for them! The cocktails are around 12 euros each (prices more typical of New York City than Seville), however, it is the perfect place to enjoy the views and have a drink before dinner, and makes a great spot for a memorable night out.
Address: Calle Alemanes, 27, on the 4th floor of the Hotel EME
5. Bar 17 at the Doña Maria Hotel
Located in the Hotel Doña Maria, this bar has become a reference for gin tonics (which just happens to be our drink of choice). Every Friday there is live music on this rooftop bar, and you can enjoy looking at their vertical garden, which adds a bit of charm. With great views and a variety of cocktails, this a sophisticated place to cool off, drink in hand, while basking in the air of the wonderful summer evenings that we are so lucky to have in Seville.
Address: Calle Don Remondo, 17
