Springtime in Seville might still be a little ways away, but no worries—the last few months of winter still offer plenty of great ways to enjoy the Andalusian capital.
In fact, the first few signs of warm weather are already here. Slowly but surely, temperatures are getting warmer, days are getting longer, and locals are getting out and about. And as winter’s last few plump oranges decorate the city’s iconic trees, Seville couldn’t look more picturesque—or more different than the drab, gray February you might be used to in other places. Here are our favorite things to do in Seville in February. Grab a warm cup of coffee and start planning your itinerary.
Celebrate Día de Andalucía with a day trip
February 28 is reason to celebrate here in southern Spain. It’s Día de Andalucía—a day to acknowledge and enjoy everything we love about this sunny, colorful region! Spend the day exploring its capital, Seville, or expand your horizons and hop on the train bound for another city or town for the day. What better day to experience some of Andalusia’s most beautiful places?
Visit the SIMOF Flamenco Exposition
Once April rolls around, flamenco style comes out in full force at the annual April Fair. However, the women of Seville are already planning their looks for the biggest celebration of the year. The Salón Internacional de la Moda Flamenca (SIMOF) provides the first look at this year’s hottest trends for the fair. Expect runway shows featuring the work of some of the flamenco industry’s top designers, a spacious exhibition area, and plenty of polka dots.

Enjoy some live music in a local bar
The worst of the winter days are behind us, and the weather is gradually starting to improve, especially during the daytime. However, nights can still be quite chilly. One of our favorite things to do in Seville in February to stay warm at night is to duck into a local bar and enjoy some great live music. From passionate flamenco emblematic of the city’s rich heritage, to jazz and rock and everything in between, Seville’s thriving music scene features something for everyone.
Take a moonlit stroll on Valentine’s Day
Winding cobblestone streets, bursts of colorful flowers, awe-inspiring architecture…Seville is more than just aesthetically pleasing, it’s downright romantic. There are plenty of great ways to enjoy the city with your special someone, but February is special—it’s the month of love, after all! If you’ll be in town on Valentine’s Day, one of the most romantic things to do in Seville in February is to enjoy a moonlit stroll through the city arm-in-arm with the person you love.
Make your way along the east bank of the Guadalquivir, taking in the twinkling lights and magical atmosphere. Cross the famous Triana Bridge into the eponymous neighborhood and enjoy the breathtaking views of the city from Calle Betis. Just don’t forget to make time for a romantic evening meal and post-dinner drinks at one of Seville’s emblematic rooftop bars.
