Seville’s unparalleled blend of history, architecture and gastronomy is sure to set the backdrop for an unforgettable hen party on any budget!
Being in charge of planning the perfect bachelorette party is no easy task. But we’re convinced that Seville’s amazing food and drink scene, in addition to the city’s colorful architecture and flamenco vibes will make it the perfect place for your bride’s last big fling!
Making things even better, Seville is one of the most affordable cities in Spain, which makes it ideal for a group with all different budgets. Even better, it was named the #1 city to visit in 2018 by Lonely Planet—and we don’t wonder why! One thing is certain: the bride to be and the guests will be talking about this trip for years to come!
1. Take a boat trip
The Río Guadalquivir provides the perfect backdrop for a morning or evening trip gliding down the river with your gal pals and a glass of vino. You’ll get a different perspective of the city and it’s an idyllic way to start a day full of bachelorette activities, or wind down with a glass of wine in the evening.
Catamaran M. San Antonio offers group trips from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and even has a fridge on board for passengers to store their beverages, (pack some extra tinto de verano!), and is perfect for those on a more restricted budget. For those looking for a bit more privacy, Guadaluxe offers private tours for up to 11 people, with the option of catered meals on board.
2. See authentic flamenco
Going to Seville without seeing flamenco is like going to France and not trying the wine.
Flamenco can be seen throughout most parts of Spain, but Seville is where it was born, and believe us, it shows. There’s no shortage of places offering flamenco so take a look at a few of our recommendations of the best flamenco in Seville to help you decide on the perfect show for your group. Consider making an evening of it with our Tapas & Flamenco Tour—everyone in the hen do will be in awe of this age-old art!
Do you have an especially adventurous group? Why not take a flamenco class during your stay? ¡Olé!
3. Tour the city by mouth
Ask anyone who’s well travelled and they’ll tell you: the best way to get to know a city? By truly understanding and experiencing its gastronomy.
Nothing pairs better with a bachelorette party than best friends drinking great wine, tasting exquisite food, and learning about their surroundings along the way. Take a look at our small group food tours or let us put together something special just for your group and the bride-to-be!
4. See Seville from the rooftops
Seville has quite a selection of incredible rooftop bars perfect for a classy sunset drink before a big night out. Some of our favorites include Fontecruz Los Seises, Hotel Inglaterra and Hotel Palacio Alcazar, but check out our full list of the best rooftops in Seville and take your pick!
Insider’s tip: Fontecruz Los Seises offers beautiful live flamenco concerts in the spring and summer months, as well as private dinners and concerts for groups on the rooftop. We suggest getting in touch before your trip to see if you’re in luck!
5. Hit the clubs
Seville’s culture of tapeando from bar to bar during the day transitions flawlessly into a vibrant nightlife scene once the sun sets. There’s something for everyone, from cozy cocktail bars to bars with live music, to world-class nightclubs. It’s fair to say that this city has everything that your hen party could want!
Fair warning, though: if you keep up with the locals, you’ll find yourself leaving the club at sunrise and grabbing some churros con chocolate on the way home! We’ve been told they’re perfect for avoiding hangovers…
Insider’s tip: With dinner at 10 p.m., the night doesn’t really get started in Seville until past midnight. Linger around your dinner table with an extra bottle of wine before heading to a nightclub around 1:30 a.m.
6. Grab brunch the morning after
Yes, we know, brunch might not be what you came to Seville for, but that doesn’t mean the city can’t surprise you!
Brunch is quickly becoming commonplace in many Spanish cities, and Seville isn’t one to be left behind. Check out our full list of the best places to brunch in Seville to find one that piques your interest and isn’t too far of a walk from your hotel!
Believe us: the bride to be will welcome a plate of huevos rancheros the morning after you dance the night away!
Insider’s tip: A rare find in Spain, not to mention Seville, is Bier Kraft, offering unlimited mimosas for €5 per hour, per person on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Address: Calle Correduría, 35
7. Relax with a spa day
What a better way to end a whirlwind bachelorette weekend than with an evening in an ancient Roman-style thermal bath?
That’s where Sevilla’s most famous spa, Aire, comes in. It is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, but we recommend you reserve ahead of time because time slots fill up quickly! Be sure to check out the packages that include access to the pool on the terrace for unrivaled views of the Giralda as you sip on a glass of cava or fresh orange juice.
