Introducing our Gourmet Tapas and Wine Tasting Tour!

Well, it was about time we had a Barcelona wine tour.

Now, I drink Spanish wine, and trust me, I drink a lot of it. I think it’s safe to say that across Devour Spain cities, we are all pretty big Spanish wine fanatics.

It only made sense, then, that we put our minds and taste buds together to make a fantastic Barcelona wine tasting tour, with pretty spectacular tapas to top it off. It wasn’t always easy avoiding hangovers, but we managed to do it, and I’m proud to say that our our Gourmet Tapas & Wine Tasting tour is up and running and couldn’t be more exciting!

Looking for a great wine tour in Barcelona? Look no further! Our walking wine and tapas tour combines great wine, great taps and great company!

We’ve been hard at work, drinking wine

It’s a hard job, but somebody’s got to do it! We’ve spent a big part of the last few months tasting and testing some of the best wines and cavas this country has to offer. After all, our goal was to include eight to 10 different tastings of Spanish and Catalan wines! If that sounds like a lot, remember that Spain has the largest covering of wine grapes in the world, with 72 different wine-making regions… Indeed, there’s a lot to learn about Spanish wine, and a lot to taste on a Barcelona wine tour!

Want to learn the ins and outs of Spanish wine, and have a great time doing it? Then join us on our Barcelona wine tasting and tapas tour!
Testing out wines for our wine tasting tour in Barcelona–hard work!

But we weren’t alone…

Sure, I’m a Spanish wine fanatic, but a certified expert? We knew if we wanted to do things right, we’d need a certified wine expert on our side. Cue in the sommelier! Fintan, the down-to-earth, ex-rugby-playing wine fanatic joined us to plan the tour. We wanted a memorable experience that combined Spanish wine knowledge with a fun evening out, no snobbery allowed! And let’s be honest–I think we achieved our goal.

Our favorite wine spots, all in one night

What’s the one thing better than a Spanish wine tasting? A walking Spanish wine tasting! We chose three of our favorite spots to drink wine in Barcelona, so our guests would not only discover one gorgeous place in the city, but rather three! From a modern tapas bar, to a Catalan wine bar, to a traditional, family-run wine shop, we included a taste of three different and emblematic wine establishments in Barcelona. And that’s not to mention the beautiful, cobblestone streets of the historic Born district between stops. What more could you ask for?

Was there ever anything more beautiful than a spread of Spanish tapas and red wine, waiting to be devoured?! Come join us on our new Barcelona tapas and wine tasting tour!

My wife and I had the great pleasure of taking the Tapas & Wine Tasting Tour while visiting Barcelona earlier this June (2016). What a fantastic tour!

Honestly cannot say enough good things about it. The three stops we made along our journey and the wines we enjoyed were simply outstanding. The food was delicious and the pairings with the local Spanish wines made for a very enjoyable combination. We had a great group of people in our tour which made the entire experience very enjoyable. But what really made the tour outstanding was our guide Fin!

Fintan was very personable, funny and he has a commanding knowledge of wines; especially the ones he shared with us as we passed the hours. Whether you are experienced or a novice when it comes to knowledge of wine, Fin’s passion for wine and Barcelona in particular, made the experience both educationally enriching and fun. We strongly recommend this tour to anyone who may be visiting Barcelona! And would also strongly recommend getting Fin as your guide! A truly excellent experience. Many Thanks Fin!
