Seville is often called the frying pan of Spain. Luckily, the heat has given us some of the best cold dishes in Spain and, most importantly, the best ice cream!
With the soaring temperatures above 40 degrees celsius here in Seville, we need places to cool off in hot weather. The city offers a variety of ways to do that! Aside from indulging in some summer appropriate traditional tapas such as salmorejo, we love nothing more than wandering the streets or sitting in one of the city’s beautiful parks with ice cream in hand. Here are our picks for the places to find the best ice cream in Seville!
Rayas
Probably Seville’s most famous ice cream shop, Rayas has loyal fans throughout the city (and probably the rest of the world). Its flavors are natural and fresh, and the creamy consistency is just perfect. There are always plenty of flavors to choose from (the most difficult part) but everything is excellent. Don’t worry about making the wrong choice!
Address: Calle Almirante Apodaca, 1
BOLAS
BOLAS is making a mark on Seville for its creative take on everyone’s favorite cold treat. The menu features over 100 homemade flavors that are both tasty and healthy. That’s right—you won’t find artificial flavorings or syrups at BOLAS. They also have special low–fat, sugar–free, and gluten–free flavors so everyone can enjoy a scoop (or two or three). BOLAS proudly serves their delicious ice cream all year long and we’re certainly glad they do!
Address: Calle Orfila, 1
Freskura
In summer 2007 a group of Italian friends decided to share their ice cream know-how with sevillanos and boy are we lucky they did! Freskura offers some of the best authentic Italian ice cream in the city, with plenty of creative and classic flavors to choose from.
Address: Calle Vulcano, 4
Crémee
Crémee is an ice cream lover’s paradise and that’s exactly what owner Chami had in mind when he opened the shop in the center of Seville. Born out of a passion for ice cream that started when he was a child, Chami’s Crémee uses the highest quality ingredients to create delicious flavors like green apple sorbet and Bandolero, a rich ice cream made with goat milk and honey, that keep locals coming back for more.
Address: Plaza del Museo, 2
Olmo
Another favorite spot among sevillianos, Olmo has all the classic ice cream flavors we love and several unique ones you’ll only find in Seville like flor de violeta, inspired by the beautiful purple Jacaranda trees that bloom in springtime. With ice cream this good, you can’t make a wrong choice.
Address: Cuesta del Rosario, 1
