Want to learn the basics of Spanish cooking? Or perhaps you’re in search of fun tapas workshops? Whatever it may be, checking out a few Barcelona cooking classes is a must for foodies!
From paella and sangria to innovative tapas and seasonal cooking, there are many options to choose from when it comes to Barcelona cooking classes! Here are a few of our favorite options for hands-on cooking experience in Barcelona.
Foodie Experience BCN
One of the newer Barcelona cooking classes to hit the scene, Foodie Experience is run by two incredibly charming sisters from just north of Barcelona. Not long ago, they opened up a beautiful space just off emblematic Plaça Reial. They welcome visitors for fun, dynamic and absolutely delicious cooking classes. Furthermore, all of which use a handful of fresh ingredients from their parents’ farm. There’s no better way to tap into local flavor than taking a cooking class with these two.
Barcelona Cooking
Founded by three food-loving friends, Barcelona Cooking puts their passion for food into everything they do. Their central location on Las Ramblas is perfectly located for visitors to the city. Located only steps away from the bustling Boqueria Market. What’s more is that’s where you’ll usually start the Barcelona Cooking class experience. For something beyond paella and gazpacho recipes, try their tapas class, or get together a group and request a private cooking class or wine tasting event!
Born to Cook
Live the Barcelona dream: with a glass of wine in hand of course! Cook up anything from traditional fare to creative tapas in a gorgeous medieval palace tucked away in the Born. Offering a plethora of different activities, workshops and classes, the two friends behind Born to Cook are passionate about bringing unique cooking experiences to visitors and locals alike.
Marta’s Famous Paella Cooking Classes
If you want to learn how to cook traditional Barcelona treats and learn about Catalan culture, Marta’s Paella Class is a cant-miss. Marta is a spunky Barcelona-native who invites guests into her home to learn how to cook an authentic paella! The best part? If you’re blessed by one of Barcelona’s many sunny days, you will cook the paella on her huge terrace. All the while enjoying views of the city center and the famous Sagrada Familia. This Barcelona cooking class offers a truly unique experience and very tasty outcome.
Of course, if you would rather take it easy and enjoy this wonderful dish cooked for you, why not wander down to the old fisherman’s neighborhood of Barcelona. Furthremore, watch this great video of our lovely co-founders as they give you some top tips to find an authentic and delicious paella!
My family (8adults) are interested in learning to make paella. We will be in Barcelona June 15th and 16th.
That sounds like a great plan Anne! Make sure to check back in with us soon as we are constantly developing new experiences for our guests so we may have a tour that combines a cookery class by then! 🙂
