Feria de Artesanía Creativa

Out of all the incredible Christmas markets in Seville, there’s one that should definitely be on your list: the Feria de Artesanía Creativa. And with such a perfect location right outside the town hall in Plaza Nueva, there’s really no reason not to check out this fabulous market!

With nearly 80 stalls selling traditional Andalusian handcrafted goods (think ceramics, jewelry, wooden toys and more), you’ll be supporting local artisans as you partake in a cherished Christmas tradition. What could be better than that? Get ready to buy the perfect sevillano gifts for everyone on your list.

Feria del Belén

No matter where you go in Spain at Christmastime, there’s one tradition you’ll see just about everywhere: the belén, or nativity scene.

However, these aren’t just your typical setups featuring the Holy Family and a handful of farm animals. Spanish nativity scenes go all out, often depicting the entire town of Bethlehem (“belén” means “Bethlehem” in Spanish).

One of the best and most cherished Christmas markets in Seville is the annual Feria del Belén, an entire market dedicated to ornate, handcrafted decorations with a special emphasis on belén figurines. From mid-November until just before Christmas, this lively cultural market takes over Avenida de la Constitución, with dozens of stalls selling these one-of-a-kind items.

2019 dates: November 12–December 23

The detail of the Nativity scenes in Spain is astonishing, and the fascinating Feria del Belén reflects that.

Gran Mercado de Navidad Nervión

Seville’s massive Nervión Plaza has earned its claim to fame as one of the city’s best shopping areas. That still rings true at Christmas, when one of the newest Christmas markets in Seville sets up shop just outside the mall.

Despite only being around since 2011, the Nervión Christmas market has quickly earned a name for itself as a verifiable winter wonderland. With stalls set up to look like miniature log cabins, with no two looking quite the same, you’ll feel as if you’re in a fairytale as you browse jewelry, art, clothing and more.

The market typically begins in early December and lasts until just before Reyes in early January, so you’ve got a full month to experience this unique new tradition!

2019 dates: TBD

Hi there, Do you know if the Nervion Plaza market will be open on the afternoon of the 24th and/or the 25th?? The dates and times suggest yes, but just want to check as that’s the only time we have available to see the markets. Thanks so much.

Hi there! In previous years, the market has been closed on the afternoon of December 24 and all day on the 25th, so we imagine the same will be true this year as well. We hope this helps!
