Fabulous tour We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide, Ahmed, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. There were only two couples on the tour, which made it very special and it was lovely to see the King’s private apartment. We would recommend this tour.

The guide makes all the difference! Nancy was terrific; her British accent was clear and utterly delightful. The tour went just a little long, and you must be able to walk and stand for a long period of time, but our guide was funny and so informed (her French history major).

Versailles is worth a guided tour. The tour was amazing and highly recommend. There is one tour guide that gets you to Versailles and then the group is handed off to a guide who specializes in Versailles. I truly cannot imagine visiting Versailles without a guided tour. Even in early May, the crowds were huge! Tip: there are a couple of tours that meet up at the same cafe area, so make sure you watch carefully to get the right group.

A good level of mobility is required and wearing comfortable shoes is recommended. Unfortunately, given the uneven surfaces and transport provided, this tour is not suitable for those requiring wheelchairs currently.
