See a whole new side of Seville as you eat and drink your way around the neighborhood where the art of flamenco was born. You’ll experience three totally unique kinds of tapas stops: an old-school grocery store with a bar, a hole-in-the-wall tavern, and a classic family-run restaurant. But there’s a few things they all have in common: they’ve all mastered the art of turning simple, high-quality ingredients into unexpected gastronomic gems, and they’ve won the hearts of generations of sevillanos.
Our evening begins with a walk across the iconic Triana Bridge to our first tapas stop: a family-run gourmet grocer. Here we’ll start our exploration of the true tastes of traditional Andalusia with Iberian cured meats and delicious Spanish vermouth.
Next, we’ll stroll along Triana’s main pedestrian street to our second tapas bar. Opened in 1962 and run by the same family ever since, this spot has since become an absolute Triana institution. Their most famous tapa is the city’s best pork sirloin—bought fresh daily from the neighborhood market—and addictive grilled mushrooms. Both dishes go perfectly with our beverage: a refreshing alternative to sangria that locals actually drink.
Finally, we’ll explore the back streets of Triana en route to our last food stop: a cozy sit-down restaurant that feels like stepping into a local family’s home. Here we’ll dig into shared plates of classic home-cooked dishes from southern Spain.
