Our journey begins in a rustic bar where the gilda—the very first pintxo in history—was created, and you’ll make your own to try. We’ll also talk all things Basque cider and drinks some as we dig into a few classic cider house dishes.
Next, we’ll stroll through the Centro neighborhood and head to the second stop, which prizes the Basque tradition of using high-quality seasonal ingredients. The pintxo and drink pairing we’ll enjoy here has been carefully selected to enhance every bite!
To wrap up, we’ll head to a spot dating back to the 1920s where dozens of celebrities have dined while visiting town for the San Sebastian Film Festival. But despite its glamorous past, locals love it, too—and you’ll feel right at home. We’ll enjoy one last round of shared plates and a beloved Basque dessert to end the evening on a sweet note.

What is regarded as a private group tour?

Private tours are for groups larger than our maximum regular tours that want to tour together, groups that require a specific time or folks that are looking to experience the tours on their own. Typically this is a group size between 11 and 40 people. We welcome large groups of friends on a city break, sports / special interest groups or corporate groups. We may be able to customize the tour to a group’s specific needs so please ask, as we want to make your experience unforgettable!

What is the cancellation policy on the private group food tour

The tour group size must be confirmed 2 weeks in advance and at that point is non-refundable. We do offer to reschedule tours, based on availability. Our team will go through the booking and payment process with you after finalizing the tour's details.

Do you have a maximum group size?

This really depends on the city, our local artisans and vendors and the tour timing. Typically, we cap between 40 to 60 people by city but we will work hard to develop solutions to accommodate your specific request.

Do you offer pick-up and drop off for your private group tours?

Please advise us on what your requirements are and we will see what is feasible.

Can my dietary needs be accommodated on this tour?

This tour is adaptable for: - Vegetarians - Pescatarians - Dairy free - Pregnant women We love providing delicious options for those with dietary needs. If you have a dietary requirement or food allergy, please note it when booking. This tour is not recommended for vegans and, due to the risk of gluten cross-contamination, this tour is not recommended for those with celiac disease. Due to the amount of wine stops on this tour, it is not recommended for children or adults who do not drink alcohol.
