Fantastic experience from start to finish. Alberto combined practical cooking techniques with fascinating historical and cultural insights, making the class much more than just a cooking lesson. It was a great opportunity to learn about Basque cuisine, understand the traditions behind each dish, and prepare authentic recipes in a friendly and engaging atmosphere. Excellent master chef, knew a lot about cooking in general and the Basque specialties. Nice cozy kitchen venue of a restaurant, with everything being very clean and modern.

Great private experience with the chef for our basque cooking class. The only rec is whether you can see the menu ahead of time with a substitution available.

Chef Mattin was delightful, friendly, and fun. Loved the Gilda pinxto, albeit just sticking olives and anchovies on a toothpick. The kitchen was not well ventilated and coupled with the warm humid weather felt a bit stuffy. Food was okay, but could have been enhanced with a few more ingredients for flavor. Basic and easy. Would prefer something more interesting.

Unfortunately, due to the prevalence of sharp knives, hot stoves, and high surfaces, this experience is not suitable for children under 12. Families with teenagers are welcome to join.
I use a wheelchair, can I do the cooking class?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee accommodations for wheelchairs. The kitchen has limited space and includes high tables with stools.
