Truly a unique experience, Julia was awesome, extremely knowledgeable and brought the energy and expertise that the group needed so early in the morning! Her passion for the art in the museums and making sure that everyone was included made the experience SO much better than just trying to walk through and guess at what you’re looking at on your own, or with an audio guide.

Left a review already on Tripadvisor. Francesca was excellent. Learnt alot and enjoyed the pace and the things she pointed out. One really needs much longer than a short 3 hour tour.

A Great tour, got to see so much in short time, with a guide that was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Fantastic!

It was pouring buckets of rain the morning of our Vatican Tour, and we started off the day sopping wet, but luckily Elisa made the most of it for us. While we had to wait outside for a while in the rain, once we got inside and dried off things got better. I’m very glad we chose the Early Entry tour - we were able to see certain areas (like the Hall of Maps) that are normally packed with people with a little more space. It was still busy, but it didn’t feel much worse than other Roman sites. By the time the tour ended (a little before noon) I could tell it was much more busy in the area. There’s so much to take in throughout the Vatican, but Elisa got us through all the highlights with plenty of time to take it in, ask questions, and take photos. Definitely recommend this tour!

Know Before You Book

Are there any times when St. Peter's Basilica will not be open to visitors?
The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will instead explore the magnificent Pinacoteca Gallery rather than the Basilica.
What is the dress code for the Vatican?
Access to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel is permitted only to visitors dressed modestly (no sleeveless blouses, no miniskirts, no shorts, no hats allowed). All guests regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees.
Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers. Please contact the Guest Experience team at [email protected] to make alternative arrangements.
