Great
Fabrizio was really nice but I e thought he went to fast in Vatican and we did the tour in 3 hours from the time we walked inside Vatican.the tour information indicated 4 hours 30. So when we believe our tour guide was going dmfqat and we exit Basilica at 11 am, yes that was fast. For the linnet that we paid, it was too fast and some room felt like running.

Great
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional. My only complaint was we moved too fast; I know there is a lot to cover and a small amount of time, I would just be prepared to come back again on your own if you’d like to spend more time in the museum

Excellent
We had a wonderful morning at the Vatican. Our guide was knowledgeable and helped bring the items we looked at to life. She also navigated all the lines and kept us moving so we spent very little time waiting in lines. Visiting the Vatican without a guide would have been completely overwhelming, so if you’re debating, I highly recommend joining a tour group.

We had a fantastic Vatican tour with the knowledgeable and charming Christina. It was well paced and Christina made sure that everyone’s areas of interests were covered. My teen son and I particularly loved the fascinating context she gave us to what we were seeing. The tour was well organised and I highly recommend it - particularly to people like us, who don’t know much about art history- as a way to learn about the meaning behind some of the Vatican treasures. Thank you so much Christina!

Know Before You Book

Are there any times when St. Peter's Basilica will not be open to visitors?
The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will instead explore the magnificent Pinacoteca Gallery rather than the Basilica.
What is the dress code for the Vatican?
Access to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel is permitted only to visitors dressed modestly (no sleeveless blouses, no miniskirts, no shorts, no hats allowed). All guests regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees.
Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers. Please contact the Guest Experience team at info@takewalks.com to make alternative arrangements.
