Aurelio’s Testaccio Market tour with Devour was one of the highlights of our trip. He’s a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply connected to the neighborhood. We tasted over 11 incredible bites - from fresh maritozzo, prosciutto and ricotta, the vitella al ragu’bianco panino with little bites of veal cooked in wine with pancetta and onions, traditional Roman pasta with wine and authentic gelato. I loved the tip he provided on how to identify a traditional/authentic Roman ristorante or gelateria frequented by locals versus the ones that cater to tourists only.

The market was buzzing with local life, and Aurelio made every stop feel personal. It’s more than a food tour—it’s a deep dive into Roman culture.

I’ve signed up for a few food tours now and 2nd food tour with Devour and looking forward to more in our future visits to Europe.

Come hungry and curious!
