The tour was great. So much history and great art to see and learn about. Our guide (apologies for not remembering her name) was FANTASTIC. She was SOOOO knowledgeable, had a great understanding of what happened and why, good sense of humor. I learned so much not about just the Vatican, but about Rome & Italy as well. Well done. The next time I want a tour this company is the first (& only) place I will use.

We had a wonderful time on our tour with Ambra (sp) highlighting the Vatican Museums and St Peter's Basilica. Prior to entering the Sistine Chapel she gave us excellent information on each panel of Michelangelo's masterpiece which helped enormously when we were in the the room. As she has an art background, she conveyed alot of information that enhanced our experience in the Vatican Museums and St Peter's. She was very enthusiastic and made the tour an amazing experience. Highly recommend.

The guide Julieta was amazing, the crowds were not but the guide made it enjoyable nonetheless. The Vatican was amazing - you just needed another 2 days to properly see parts of the Vatican

Are there any times when St. Peter's Basilica will not be open to visitors?
The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will instead explore the magnificent Pinacoteca Gallery rather than the Basilica.
What is the dress code for the Vatican?
Access to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel is permitted only to visitors dressed modestly (no sleeveless blouses, no miniskirts, no shorts, no hats allowed). All guests regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees.
Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers. Please contact the Guest Experience team at info@takewalks.com to make alternative arrangements.
