Guide was excellent and very knowledgeable, radios worked ok, the only thing I would say that would have been helpful to have a quick stop for the toilet before the Sistine Chapel as there were loos there as it was quite a fast moving tour and therefore was worried about losing the group, needed the toilet and not able to go until by the basilica,

The tour with Walks of Italy was fantastic! Paola our guide has been so nice knowledgeble and professional that at the end we did not want to leave. The Vatican is a place to visit at least once in life, the richness of unique works, its beauty and history make it fascinating also for those who are not interested in art. The tour was perfectly organized, we could skip the line and even if the museum is huge we could focus the attention on the masterpieces without missing anything. We warmly suggest the visit and thank again Paola for the extraordinary experience.

Are there any times when St. Peter's Basilica will not be open to visitors?

Note: The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesday mornings. It is subject to other closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will instead explore more of the Vatican Museums' galleries.

What is the dress code for the Vatican?

Access to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel is permitted only to visitors dressed modestly (no sleeveless blouses, no miniskirts, no shorts, no hats allowed). All guests regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees.

Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?

Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers. Please contact the Guest Experience team at [email protected] to make alternative arrangements.

Is proof of identity (ID) required for this tour?
