This was a great tour of the museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Even though we booked the 7:15 am tour it was still extremely crowded by the time we reached St. Peter's; I can't imagine going any later in the day. It was great being able to use the direct walkway to get to St. Peter's so we didn't have to go through security again. Our guide was very knowledgeable and she did a good job of covering all the main sites and she was good at keeping our group all together

Excellent

The tour was great. So much history and great art to see and learn about. Our guide (apologies for not remembering her name) was FANTASTIC. She was SOOOO knowledgeable, had a great understanding of what happened and why, good sense of humor. I learned so much not about just the Vatican, but about Rome & Italy as well. Well done. The next time I want a tour this company is the first (& only) place I will use.

Are there any times when St. Peter's Basilica will not be open to visitors?

The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will instead explore the magnificent Pinacoteca Gallery rather than the Basilica.

What is the dress code for the Vatican?

Access to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel is permitted only to visitors dressed modestly (no sleeveless blouses, no miniskirts, no shorts, no hats allowed). All guests regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees.

Is this tour accessible to guests with mobility impairments?
