Tour guide Monse was excellent! She was knowledgeable, energetic, and led us to delicious food venders in Madrid. She made personal recommendations on eating near our hotel, which were wonderful. We will go on more Devour tours in the future. Thank you, Monse!!!

Excellent
We had a fantastic time with Montse even though it was chilly and rainy! She was so much fun and full of knowledge about Madrid. The food stops were exactly what we were hoping for - small, locally owned places, often times family run. The food was delicious! We highly recommend!

Mitzi was a great tour guide! She took us to lots of local shops and the Mercado Anton. Lots of tastings! She shared her vast knowledge of Madrid and Spain in general. Liked the small group size. Thoroughly enjoyed!

David was the perfect host. Knew lots about the cuisine history and Madrid. Giving great advice on how ”locals” live and where to find great authentic food.
Each stop was fantastic and had great food to sample. David’s knowledge of the food and the regions it originated in made it a real cultural experience.
I would highly recommend this tour !!

Know Before You Go

Is this a walking food tour?
Yes, we stroll through two central neighborhoods at a relaxed pace (about 2 km total), with plenty of food breaks and seating.
How much food is included?
A full meal! You’ll enjoy cheese, street bites, wine, beer, pasta, dessert, and more. This isn’t just a tasting tour—it’s dinner, Neapolitan style.
Do morning and evening tours differ?
Morning tours start with churros and hot chocolate; evening tours begin with tapas and beer. Everything else is the same.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We can offer vegetarian alternatives, gluten-free, dairy-free, and non-alcoholic drinks. However, celiac disease and severe allergies are not easily accommodated due to the risk of cross-contamination.
Do we visit a real market?
Yes—an authentic neighborhood market where you’ll taste local staples and meet vendors we’ve worked with for years.
What neighborhoods do we explore?
You’ll visit Madrid’s Literary Quarter (Barrio de las Letras) and the historic center—both rich with culture, charm, and local flavor.
What makes this Madrid food tour different?
This is the original. Created in 2012, it’s built on real relationships—not just restaurant partnerships. You’ll eat with locals, at places we’ve trusted for generations—and walk away with a deeper connection to Madrid.
