This was a very informative tour. The steps to the duomo weren't as strenuous as I anticipated. The view at the top was 100% worth it!! A complete bird's eye view of Florence. Church bells even started ringing when we got to the top!

Elena was sooooooo great! We loved the VIP part of skipping the line. She knew so much and we loved seeing the David and learning more about the history. We also loved getting access to terrace/dome. All of us thought this was a great tour. Would definitely recommend!!!!

Know Before You Book
Are children able to take this tour?
Due to security reasons, children under 7 years of age aren't allowed to climb to the Terraces and are therefore unable to participate in this tour. Minors between the ages of 7-17 must be accompanied by an adult to climb the Terraces.
Is this tour accessible for wheelchair users or guests with mobility issues?
Due to conditions inside the Duomo (463 steps and fairly narrow passageways), wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, and anyone with claustrophobia unfortunately cannot be accommodated on this tour.
Does the afternoon tour follow the same route as the morning tour?
Only the morning tour will briefly enter the Florence cathedral. The afternoon tour will enjoy a view of the cathedral's interior from above during the Duomo climb. The visit to the Accademia Gallery remains unchanged.
What is the dress code for this tour?
Due to the religious nature of the Cathedral, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. You can bring extra coverings (scarves, etc) to put on just before entering the Cathedral. It is also prohibited to enter the Cathedral and climb to the Terraces and Cupola wearing flip-flops, slippers, clogs and shoes with heels.
What can I bring inside the Florence Cathedral?
Visitors to the Cathedral must use mandatory luggage storage (Piazza Duomo n. 38/r) to leave the following items before entry: suitcases, backpacks, and large or medium-sized bags.
