Here in Italy, dinner is a social event to be shared in good company, and that's exactly what's in store on this Oltrarno food tour. From *aperitivo* through dinner and dessert, you'll spend the evening in true Florentine fashion as you pop into our favorite neighborhood spots to try specialties from all over Tuscany—all washed down with plenty of regional wine. Along the way, your friendly foodie guide will demystify Florence’s food scene for you, from the importance of seasonality to why there’s really no such thing as “Italian” food.
Begin your Oltrarno food tour by getting acquainted with the building blocks of Tuscan cuisine with a typical aperitif. There’s no better place to do so than at a laid-back enoteca (wine bar) nestled into the quiet back streets of the neighborhood, where you’ll open your appetite with pecorino toscano cheese, a selection of bruschette, and focaccia, all paired with Chianti Classico. As you snack and sip, your guide will give you a primer on Tuscan wine and how to order and drink it like a pro.
We love providing delicious options for those with dietary needs. If you have a dietary requirement or food allergy, please note it when booking. We'll meet by the statue of Cosimo Ridolfi in Piazza Santo Spirito. It is located on the side of the square furthest away from the church "Basilica di Santo Spirito." Your guide will be holding a red Devour tote bag and a Devour Tours sign.
