Complete Pompeii Tour with Archaeologist: Past, Present, and New Discoveries

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide Anna was extremely personable and knowledgeable. She knew very well how to navigate through the crowds while still giving us great insight into the lives of the people that used to live there. <br />Wear comfortable shoes as the streets are bumpy and bring some water. <br />The headsets really help to hear her when around a lot of other people.

Such a great tour. Our guide was a former archaeologist at Pompeii and has given tours for over 20 years. And such a delightful personality. I don’t know how anyone does Pompeii without a tour - would be so overwhelming! Highly recommend!

Iaria T. was our fabulous guide for 2.5 wonderful hours. She brought Pompeii alive for us with her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge. The walk was the right pace, only 12 people in our group, with the appriate level of archaeological detail, all with a friendly approach. This tour was fantastic I would do it all over again it was the favorite part of touring the sites of Italy. The tour guide Enzo had passion for his job. I would love to do the tour of Herculaneum with him should we ever return to Italy.
