Complete Pompeii Tour with Archaeologist: Past, Present, and New Discoveries

Pompeii is a huge site with a long history and thus impossible to do in any comprehensive way for most tours. So this puts a premium on a guide with the right blend of knowledge, experience, personality, and story-telling skills to match a tour to the group they meet only as the tour starts. I was impressed with our guide's abilities in all areas and I say that after having participated in several other guided tours (no others with Walks) in recent weeks. I don't know if this was just exceptional luck for us or a good indication of Walks' selection process. But it is enough that I'd be much more inclined to book with Walks the next time I am seeking a guided tour.

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable about Pompeii. She used her personal experiences as an archeologist and her humor to make it fun to learn the history. The tour was very organized and well thought out, including most areas of interest.

Sonia was wonderful and did a great job getting into the little details. She is a wonderful storyteller that made the tour great.
