We really enjoyed our tour with James!! The history he shared was fascinating, the tapas and drinks were delicious, and we saw parts of the Gothic Quarter we wouldn’t have found on our own. A really well-done experience.

This was a very interesting tour, and we enjoyed it very much. Our guide, Vera, was impressive, with her breadth of knowledge and people skills. This is a tour for people who want to experience the history and tastes of the authentic Spanish tradition of tapas. If you just want to party and drink, I'd recommend taking a different tour.

A perfect start to my trip in Barcelona. Right balance of food, wine and conversation with a little bit about the history of the gothic quarter thrown in. Eric made you feel welcome and had great knowledge about Barcelona. Never a dull moment the tour made me feel less intimidated to go it alone. Fully recommended to all

Eric was our tour guide for Barcelona and he made the experience amazing! He was so knowledgeable - we learned so much about the history while having great drinks and food. I loved that it was a small group as well. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Barcelona and loves history and drinking!

Is this tour accessible for people with mobility issues?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers.

How much food and drink is included?
Plenty! You’ll enjoy 10+ traditional tapas and 5 drinks (including vermouth, cava, and regional wines) across three family-run stops. It’s a full dinner, Barcelona-style. Come hungry.
What kind of tapas will I try?
The lineup varies with the seasons and availability, but expect a mix of Catalan and Spanish staples—things like *butifarra* sausage, crema catalana, fried fish, croquettes, and more. Every dish is carefully chosen to reflect local traditions and flavors.
How much walking is involved?
The route covers approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) through the Gothic Quarter at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to rest and eat between stops.
What if I don’t drink alcohol?
No problem! We offer non-alcoholic options at every stop. Just let us know when booking or tell your guide at the start of the tour.
Is this a good tour for history lovers?
