Excellent
We had an amazing time on the Barcelona Gothic Quarter Tapas & Taverns Food & Wine Tour. Our guide, Feliciano, was so fun and full of energy—he made the entire experience unforgettable. The tour lasted about four hours and was the perfect mix of incredible tapas, wine, history, and laughs as we explored the Gothic Quarter. Every stop was well chosen, and Feliciano’s stories and personality brought the neighborhood to life.

Feliciano our guide was the perfect balance of knowledge, friendliness and supreme host. Proud of his city, its history and food - it was like eating with the best host. Food was plentiful and delicious. Accommodated my dairy allergy. You will walk a bit between places and get a lot of insights

Excellent
This tour was wonderful!! Our guide, Feliciano was fun and knew so much about the history of the city. Great bites and wine at 3 separate spots along the way. Time went by quickly between stops and ended with a sweet bite.

Food was very local “mom and pop” shops, not particularly fancy, but delicious freshly prepared and well explained. Great exposure to Spanish staples and local ingredients. I highly recommend this tour!!

Know Before You Go

Is this tour accessible for people with mobility issues?
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, or for wheelchairs or strollers.
Is this the best tapas tour in Barcelona?
We think so—and so do the 3,000+ guests who’ve rated it five stars. This is Devour’s signature Barcelona experience, running since 2014. It’s not just about great food (though there’s plenty of that)—it’s about understanding the stories behind every bite and every bar.
How much food and drink is included?
Plenty! You’ll enjoy 10+ traditional tapas and 5 drinks (including vermouth, cava, and regional wines) across three family-run stops. It’s a full dinner, Barcelona-style. Come hungry.
What kind of tapas will I try?
The lineup varies with the seasons and availability, but expect a mix of Catalan and Spanish staples—things like *butifarra* sausage, crema catalana, fried fish, croquettes, and more. Every dish is carefully chosen to reflect local traditions and flavors.
How much walking is involved?
The route covers approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) through the Gothic Quarter at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to rest and eat between stops.
What if I don’t drink alcohol?
No problem! We offer non-alcoholic options at every stop. Just let us know when booking or tell your guide at the start of the tour.
Is this a good tour for history lovers?
Yes! This isn’t just a food tour—it’s also a walking tour through one of Barcelona’s oldest neighborhoods. Your guide will share the stories that connect what you’re eating to the city’s layered past.
Is this a good tour for solo travelers?
Absolutely. Many guests come solo and end up leaving with new friends. The vibe is relaxed, social, and perfect for anyone who wants to explore, connect, and share a great meal.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
We do our best! Many stops offer vegetarian options, but please note that vegan, gluten-free, or severe allergy accommodations may be limited. Let us know your needs in advance and we’ll do our best to help.
What if it rains?
We run rain or shine, so bring an umbrella if the forecast looks wet. Most of the tour is indoors or under cover, and the food will keep you warm either way.
