Excellent
Perfect family day at Montserrat and Joan Segura Winery This is a great trip. Our guide, Alex, was terrific with great information about Barcelona, Montserrat, and Spanish wine making. The highlight of the trip is the tour and vineyard lunch at Joan Segura Pujadas. I would do this tour again.

Beautiful Montserrat and Cava Tour as a solo traveler. The bus ride was very comfortable and the guide, Feliciano, was very informative. It was great that we started early to be ahead of the masses at Montserrat. The drive up the mont is winding but with beautiful vistas. Learning about the cava making was very interesting and we had a lot of fun being transported by Land Rover to the fields. We are lunch in a little stone shelter that was previously built and used over a hundred years ago. The food was lovely and plentiful. We all had a grand time and I felt very included as a solo traveler.

Literally the best group tour I’ve ever taken, and I’ve been on many. Good timing, lots of pertinent and interesting information but not overwhelming.

Perfect way to round out our stay in Catalonia & Spain We booked this tour on our last day in Barcelona, and our last day of vacation, for 3 practical reasons: 1. At the start of this trip, we loved their sister company – Walks: Best of Seville Walking Tour: Exclusive Early Alcazar Access, Cathedral & Jewish Quarter 2. Devour kindly agreed to let us keep a couple of small pieces of luggage on the tour van, so when we were done – we could relocate to a hotel closer to the airport. 3. This tour was a really nice way to wind down the end of the trip – I didn’t have to think, my feet didn’t hurt, and it was nice to get away from the crowds and into the countryside. 4. We love wine tourism! The landscapes, the wine, and the people made this a fabulous experience! Feliciano was a charismatic, knowledgeable, and personable guide. We learned about his family, Barcelona, and the history of the region while we drove out to Montserrat. The vistas going and coming from Montserrat were breathtaking, and the monastery was surreal in the mist?! He led us through the cathedral – and we had a few minutes on our own. We then had a snack and then onto the art museum that Feliciano recommended – it did NOT disappoint! Super stars around every corner?! I only wish we would have had more time in the cathedral and museum. From there, we took a beautiful drive around the rocks and into the valley to the Joan Segura Pujadas Bodega, where we learned about their process of wine making and history. I even got a chance to help disgorge a bottle of cava! We then got to ride jeeps into the vineyard to sample some of the wine among the grapes, and I finally realized that Joan, the owner, was our driver?! He was unpretentious, down to earth, and friendly, as was our tour guide and his translator. It started raining so I think they may have had to change plans and take us back to the Bodega for our lunch and wine pairing – which was delicious! We bought wine, and ordered some to be shipped, so we can dream about our vacation now 6 months later. This was a perfect, easy, worry-free way to end our vacation.

Awesome Tour! The tour was awesome! Our tour began with a trip to Montserrat, followed by a visit to Joan Segura winery. Everything we did just exceeded our expectations. Valentina is also an amazing guide. She was knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour.

Know Before You Go

Does the winery visit still take place in bad weather?
In the event of rain or inclement weather, you'll enjoy a homemade farm-to-table lunch inside at the winery.
How is this different from other Montserrat wine tours?
While others squeeze in a stop, we go deeper. You'll beat the crowds at Montserrat, explore a boutique cava winery by 4x4, enjoy a real vineyard lunch—not just tapas—and connect with locals who live what they pour.
Can I visit Montserrat and a winery on my own?
It might be possible—but planning it all yourself means juggling monastery schedules, winery bookings, and transport logistics. We’ve taken care of every detail so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
Is this tour suitable for vegetarians or dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. Just let us know at booking and we’ll coordinate with the winery for you.
Will I be in a huge group?
Not a chance. Our groups are intentionally small, so the experience stays relaxed, personal, and real.
What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes, a camera, and an appetite. The rest? We've got covered.
