Hola, I'm

Aleksandra M.

Guide & Foodie

I'm a art historian that fell in love with the spirit of Seville. After 7 years working in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, I found my place doing food tours. I love to travel, read, and discover new things.

Seville is joyful, beautiful, and full of life. Each day it gives you energy and the sensation of day-to-day fiesta!

My Insider Tips for Seville

Q: When is one of your favorite times of year to visit Seville?

As a local, April is my favorite because it coincides with two major festivals, Semana Santa (Holy Week) and Feria (Spring Fair). They're amazing experiences. Keep in mind as a visitor the city can get pretty busy during this time though and many businesses might even close for vacation.

Q: What do you tell friends and family they have to visit in Seville?

The Royal Alcazar and Cathedral are at the top of my list. For a taste of local life, I tell them to check out Alameda, a large lively square surrounded by bars and restaurants. Lastly, Bar Garlochí is a Holy Week-themed bar where you can get a taste of this famous festival all year round.

Q: What are some unmissable foods and drinks?

Vino de naranja (orange wine) is a must-try as well as montaditos de pringá (a small sandwich with hearty stewed meat), cazón adobo (fried fish), and chorizo!
