Looking for great places to buy wine in Barcelona? The list is a long one of course! Check out our top 5 favorite Barcelona wine shops all around the city!
La Vinícola
Though La Vinícola is relatively new to the Barcelona wine scene (opened in 2014), it’s quickly joined the ranks of the top wine shops in Barcelona, stocking its shelves with an impressive supply of Catalan wines. The central location, just a stone’s throw from the wide Diagonal Avenue and Paseo de Gracia in the Eixample Dret, also adds to the appeal! It’s one of our top places to buy wine in Barcelona, hands down!
Address: Carrer de Girona, 123
Bodega Maestrazgo
What can we say, we love Bodega Maestrazgo! The long corner bodega on the commercial Sant Pere Mes Baix Street is a local favorite not only to buy wine but also to consume it. Enjoy their wine by the glass while you debate over which bottle to take home. In our opinion, it truly is one of the best places to buy wine in Barcelona!
Address: Sant Pere Més Baix, 90
La Leonesa
The concept of colmados, traditional greengrocers, is slowly disappearing in Barcelona. Or so you think until you stumble upon La Leonesa. This is a historically protected shop in the Gothic Quarter. Inside you’ll find a wide array of Spanish and Catalan wine, cava, cheese, charcuterie and other gourmet products also!
Address: Carrer del Ample, 46
Vila Viniteca
Vila Viniteca is perhaps the wine authority in Barcelona – no other wine shop in Barcelona shares the same reputation as this generational bodega, which also boasts a tasting room and gourmet shop on the same street in the beautiful medieval Born district. Not to mention, just stepping into the shop is an experience in itself.
Address: Carrer dels Agullers, 7
Sentits BCN
Sentits is a lovely wine shop in Barcelona that is inviting to all sorts of wine-lovers! Its cozy atmosphere is perfect to shop around without pretensions. Whether you’re looking for tastings, workshops or just a few bottles to take home, this is your stop!
Address: Carrer de Bailen, 88

Poor web site
No consistent information about each store like where they are located
No help to a non resident of Barcelona
Hi there Ian– the post does include addresses under each suggestion, and links out to each listing’s website when possible. What more do you need?
Half a brain and a map. But I guess that is something that only the residents of Barcelona possess. Oh wait, I’m almost from the north-pole and had 0 trouble finding anywhere in BCN the first time I visited. But I possess some next-level black magic in my little thin box of wonder. A real magician never reveals his tricks, but let’s just say it has something to do with google-maps and gps. Oh and had no trouble getting a prepaid 4G data-sim for my mobile either… oh crap, now I revealed it.
But some people…
P.S. Oh and before this space-age mambo jumbo I used paper maps. Would have found any of these establishments on such a magic scroll also.
P.P.S. Not sure if trolling or just really stupid. 🙁
Awesome post
