It’s time to pack away your beach clothes and break out your most stylish coat. It’s November and fall has arrived in Seville.
Now that the last heat wave of the year has finally passed, it’s time to settle in for fall fun here in the Andalusian capital. There’s still plenty of sunny weather to go around, making it a great time to get out and about. And even though fall tends to be rainy compared to the warmer months, no worries—we’ve got plenty of great ways to experience the best of Seville while staying dry.
These things to do in Seville in November will ensure a trip full of autumnal magic and passionate local culture. We hope to see you here soon.
Catch a movie at the Seville European Film Festival
Many of Europe’s top filmmakers take Seville by storm every year at the Sevilla Festival de Cine Europeo. Each year promises to be even better than ever, with a diverse selection reflects talent from several different European countries, each bringing something new to the table.
Movie buffs can’t miss this event—easily one of the most popular things to do in Seville in November.
Enjoy a day trip to Italica
Seville was once an important part of the Roman Empire, and remnants of its Roman past remain scattered throughout the city today. However, just 10 kilometers from Seville, you can explore the ruins of what was once the largest Roman city in Spain (and today, the best-preserved): Italica, now part of the town of Santiponce.
Highlights include one of the former empire’s largest amphitheaters and 5 grandiose houses belonging to prosperous families, in which even the tiny tiles on each mosaic remain remarkably preserved. If you’re looking for one of the most unique things to do in Seville in November, hop on bus #172 at Plaza de Armas and head out there for a day trip.
Learn something new at a museum
We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but even Seville is susceptible to rainy, gray weather—especially in fall.
On the bright side, that doesn’t mean you have to waste valuable time waiting out the storm in your hotel. Instead, head to one of city’s dozens of fascinating museums, where a whole world of knowledge is waiting to be discovered.
From world-class art galleries to an archaeological wonderland and even a flamenco museum (we are in Seville, after all), there’s something everyone will enjoy. This is definitely one of our favorite things to do in Seville in November when we need to warm up.
Relax with a coffee
The midmorning coffee break has been an integral part of Spanish culture for longer than anyone can remember. And now that it’s fall, we can’t think of a better way to warm up than by ducking into one of Seville’s charming cafes for a freshly brewed cup.
From traditional holes-in-the-wall packed with Spanish abuelos to trendy new spots serving up specialty coffee, there’s no shortage of perfect cafes here in the Andalusian capital. Grab a good book, settle into a cozy spot, and enjoy a lazy morning.
Eat your way around town
Without a doubt, one of our favorite things to do in Seville in November (okay, at any time of year) is eat. With around 3,000 tapas bars (yes, you read that right) dotted throughout the city, we’re personally on a mission to discover them all.
And now that it’s late fall and most of the tourist crowds have cleared out, even better.

Where are the traditional cafes where abuelos go for coffee?
The bar on the corner! Pretty much every bar has an espresso machine, so abuelos will just head to their personal favorite that’s nearby.
