Federal Café

This Aussie-owned cafe is a haven for foodies and health junkies alike.

Try their Green Tommy smoothie with apple, cucumber, chia seeds and celery to give your morning a jolt of freshness. For something sweeter, go for their delicious pomegranate smoothie. Pair it with eggs Benedict, a burger or a bowl of granola, and enjoy this peaceful cafe with two locations: the original in Malasaña and the second one near Plaza Mayor.

Toast Café‘s menu for brunch in Madrid is one of the most reasonably-priced and exhaustive in town. The hard part will be choosing: pancakes or one of their famous toasts? Huevos rancheros or omelet?

Ojalá

This popular spot that forms part of Grupo La Musa in Malasaña is the ultimate place to enjoy a long brunch with friends. Ojalá is light and colorful, and even has a “beach patio” on the ground floor where guests are welcome to enjoy drinks and relax in the sand.

Their tostada platters come with a variety of toppings such as smoked salmon, poached eggs or Spanish chorizo, and are served with freshly squeezed juice and coffee.

Little Big Cafe

GANZ Café-Bistrot

You’ll find brunch dishes from around the world in this French-inspired café in the Literary Quarter. Here, chef Pascual Medel fills his brunch menu with dishes that he tries during his travels. The essential eggs Benedict are there, of course, alongside dishes that draw from Italy, Sweden and the United States.
