Who doesn’t like a nice glass of wine? Sometimes there’s nothing better! But there is good wine and then there is GREAT wine. Let us point you in the direction of our favorite wineries near Seville.
If you’re as mad about wine as we are, it’s not just the prospect of drinking it that gets your blood pumping – it’s the full experience! Finding out more about the history and processes of wine-making can really increase your appreciation for the drink we all know and love.
We’ve found that the best way to learn more about wine is to visit the wineries themselves! There are so many in and around Seville, and it’s a super great way to see some the beautiful surrounding areas. Hop on the train or in the car and get yourself down to one of these lovely wineries!

Bodegas Tradicion
Although this winery is fairly new (founded in 1998), it has its roots in the oldest sherry house known to Jerez, with business dating all the way back to 1650! Specializing mainly in wine and brandy, Bodegas Tradicion also boasts a pretty impressive collection of 14th-19th-century Spanish paintings! That’s right, wine AND art, an absolute must-do if you’re planning a day trip to Jerez!
Address: Plaza Cordobeses, 3, 11408 – Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz.
Bodegas Luiz Pérez
These guys get rather scientific about their wine, so this place is perfect if you’re into that kind of thing (it’s definitely the kind of thing we’re into, that’s for sure!) Luiz Pérez himself has a degree in Chemistry from the University of Seville, where he wrote his final thesis on the “Brandy de Jerez”, so you know he means business when it comes to wine-making. It may also be pertinent to mention that the winery itself looks like the definition of paradise…
Address: Ctra. el Calvario, 11408 – Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz
Ximénez-Spínola
Ximénez-Spínola has been run by the same family for almost 300 years now – THREE HUNDRED! One must admit, that’s a long time. This is probably the sleekest winery we’ve ever seen (take a look at their website and you’ll see what we mean.) Along with their broad selection of wines, they also have a great range of brandies to have specifically with cigars.
Address: Jerez-Sanlucar desvio Km. 1,5, Las Tablas, 11408 – Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz
Bodegas Lagar Blanco
Located in the heart of southern Spain, Bodegas Lagar Blanco sits atop a chalky hill in the Montilla-Moriles region east of Seville. Not only is the surrounding countryside absolutely stunning, but the tour prices are unbelievably reasonable as well! We highly recommend checking out this little hidden gem.
Address: Road Cuesta Blanca, km. 4,4 Montilla, Córdoba
