Part of our mission at Devour Spain is to support entirely family run businesses, but it’s not just about the bars and restaurants, as in Seville there is a great selection of hotels which are family owned and operated too.
These small hotels might not be 4 or 5 star, but they are charming, homely, and you are welcomed each time with a friendly smile. Here’s our picks for the best budget hotels in Seville, which also happen to be entirely family owned and operated!

1. Hotel Don Pedro
Hotel Don Pedro is a wonderful family run hotel located in the non-touristic neighborhood of Santa Catalina, in the centre of Seville and an easy 15 minutes walk to all of Seville’s big attractions. We personally love the friendly reception that you receive each time you arrive, but things like computers in the reception (free for all guests to use) and complimentary coffee help you to feel right at home! Hotel Don Pedro also happens to be located just down the road from El Rinconcillo, Seville’s oldest tapas bar which dates back to 1670, so you don’t have far to find your way home after enjoying a Manzanilla sherry or two!
2. Hotel Goya
Like many of the small, family run hotels in Seville, this hotel is housed in a typical Andalusian style building, with an indoor patio, decorated with tiles and the rooms furnished in a simple but tasteful way, although Hotel Goya really is all about location! It’s located in the charming Santa Cruz neighorhood on Calle Mateos Gago, the street that leads right to the Cathedral and Alcazar – the two monuments that are the heart of sightseeing in Seville. And guess what? You have to walk past one of our favorite wine bars, Alvaro Peregil, to get there, so it’s the perfect excuse to stop and try a vino de naranjo (typical orange wine).
3. Hotel Alcántara
Hotel Alcántara is the place for those who are looking to be right in the centre of the action – so much so, flamenco shows take place in the same building! This hotel, set in an 18th century Andalusian style mansion, is located in Seville’s Santa Cruz neighborhood. The rooms are charmingly decorated and spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, it’s reasonably priced and perfectly located for exploring the hidden back streets, sightseeing,, and gorging on tapas, all of which makes this hotel a great budget friendly option in heart of Seville!
4. Espacio Azahar
If you are looking for a good value hotel, decorated beautifully in its own style, then Espacio Azahar is the place for you. This small, 13 room guesthouse is run by an extremely friendly family who go out of their way to make sure all the guests enjoy their stay in Seville – the roof top jacuzzi and bar are an added bonus! Espacio Azahar is located within 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral and Santa Cruz neighborhood, and just down the road from the Alameda de Hercules, a great area for enjoying all the food, drink and nightlife that Seville has to offer.
