Eating and drinking your way around Seville is one of the best parts about visiting the city.
It’s estimated that there are about 3,000 tapas bars in Seville, each one with its own flair and personality. Add that to the countless rooftop and cocktail bars, and you’ve got a city full of fantastic eats and drinks. Part of the fun of visiting Seville is trying as bars as possible! However, a number that big can be hard to narrow down. We did the hard work for you and came up with this list of the 10 best bars in Seville of all time, in no particular order. Whether you’re here for a short stay or plan on staying indefinitely, we hope you’ll try as many as possible!
1. Casa Ricardo
Seville’s Alameda de Hercules and the surrounding area are filled with hip, happening places to eat and drink. However, if we had to pick a favorite, it would be Casa Ricardo. Not much has changed here since it first opened in 1898, but the old-world feel is charming rather than stuffy. Join the locals at the bar and order a glass of sherry—perfect for washing down their sliced-to-perfection Iberian ham.
Address: Calle Hernán Cortés, 2
2. Álvaro Peregil La Goleta
Don’t blink as you’re walking down Calle Mateos Gago. Otherwise, you might miss La Goleta, a tiny hole-in-the-wall bar that makes up in personality what it lacks in space. The current owner, Álvaro Peregil himself, is the son of a flamenco singer and the grandson of the bar’s original founder. Álvaro’s grandfather was the first to produce the city’s now famous orange wine—right here in this bar! This unique local staple as well as their small yet delicious tapas menu make this one of our favorite bars in Seville.
