Quite the unforgettable tour! Sarah did a great job showing us around each of the spots, bringing us to trusted vendors, and giving us explanations of the culture, islands, and city!

This tour was such a beautiful surprise.

We left by boat near St. Mark’s Square and the whole afternoon felt like a small escape into another Venice. Between one stop and the next, Alessia told us stories about the smaller islands of the lagoon, what we were seeing around us, and how life there has always been connected to the water.

In Murano, we watched the glass masters at work, and I honestly didn’t expect it to be so hypnotic. I had heard about Murano glass before, of course, but seeing it hot and glowing in front of us was something else. The glass looked soft, almost like yogurt, with the color of a sunset. They shaped it into a horse and a jug right there in front of us.

Burano was beautiful: a little island village full of bright colorful houses, perfect for wandering around and taking photos. Alessia also told us about the island’s lace-making tradition and the local biscuits, the buranelli, and showed us where to buy the good ones. I’m not sure mine will actually make it home as souvenirs. :)

The final stop on Sant’Erasmo was probably the biggest surprise. It felt quiet and completely different, surrounded by water, sky and green fields. At the winery, there was a table set just for us with a red and white checked tablecloth, glasses and bottles of wine made on the island. The wine was light, fresh and dangerously easy to drink, even at 13%.

The time flew by. I came back feeling like I had seen, learned, tasted and felt a lot in just one afternoon. I would do it again. Thank you Alessia!

Great
Interesting tour. We enjoyed having a small group setting with a private boat to visit these three places. The visit to the winery was memorable and the wine was very tasty. I would recommend! Best for adults only.
