Niagara Underground: Power Station & Tunnel Under the Falls Tour

My husband and I loved this tour, and our guide, Lara, did an amazing job! She is from the area and knew so many interesting facts/stories. We loved that we started off with ride up the Skylon tower for a view, then a fun tour through the Daredevil Museum. We enjoyed the walk to the Power Plant. Lara got us all set up with audio devices for the self-guided Plant/Tunnel tour. Walking through the old 2,200 ft. tunnel which led us to an amazing close-up view of the Falls was a fabulous experience. My husband enjoyed learning about Nikola Tesla and all about the Power Plant after the tunnel walk. Something for all, and well worth the money!

The Niagara Underground tour was exceptional. Our guide, Deanna, was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. She gave great explanations, shared interesting bits of information and generally made the tour even better than we had expected. The tunnel was amazing, and the gorgeous rainbow over the falls at the end of the tunnel was spectacular! We were all very glad that we had this experience and would highly recommend it to others.

Interesting to learn the history of hydroelectric power generation at Niagara. Also offers the opportunity to get close to the bottom of the falls without going on a boat. Staff are on hand to provide a poncho in the wind is directing the spray towards you. You can make the visit as long or as short as you like, staff do not pressure you into moving along(however, this may be different on exceptionally busy days).
